Book: The darkest minds Author: Alexandra Bracken Genre: Science fiction + Thriller Age: 13+ Review: I just finished reading The Darkest Minds and it was a particularly good book. It's about how all the kids in America died except for small percent and those that survive end up with one of five different abilities. The government is after all these remaining kids and the main character, escapes imprisonment and is on the run. I really liked this book it had an amazing cliff hanger and I am currently reading the second one in the trilogy. The only thing I can fault is some scenes were a but hard to visualise, I could have used some more descriptions though I know some people prefer less descriptions. Also the ending made me cry, a lot. I was already pretty emotional and tired when I was reading the end of it though, most people probably didn't find it that sad. |

I have thought about this for a while now and in the hopes of commiting to doing this, I am going to write about what I'm thinking. So I am going to be reading some more classical books in the hopes of furthering my extent of writing knowledge, I don't actually particularly know, mainly because it sounds like it will be good for me. I plan to read weathuring heights, romeo and Juliet, some ernest hemingway and maybe so poetry. I've already bought Ernest Hemingways collection of short stories and that is the next book I am going to be reading. Untill next time future self.
Me and my friend came up with a new story idea a couple days ago and I am particulary excited about it. It's a story envolving angels lucifer an orcle and the child of both an angel and Lucifer. Lucifer's kid, who is a girl, is name Riley and the other kid is named Daniel. Basically they are excact oppistites and they are a major factor in keeping the balance of the world, if one kills the other the balance is lost. I know that's probably very confusing but oh well. BYE!
I'm having major dedication problems at the moment. I havent written all holidays. Also I am worried about the difficulty have becoming a writer since it's not a very stable career and a lot of people fail. So my conclusion is that I have to be extra dedicated and I'm going to write right now. BYE! to future self since nobody reads this.
I just finished reading the flowers in the attic series and this is truley a book series a will never forget. Some of you may go what is this I've never heard of it others may go my mum read that! Either way I recommned you read this, it is about four children that get locked away with only an attic to play in so there mother can inherit a great fortune, it is a lot more complex then that but I am trying very hard not to spoil anything. The first book and seeds of yesterday made me cry. I cried about the same amount that I cried in the fault in our stars. Some of you may be going meh not my genre but OMG tragedy is not my genre either and it took me a lot of persuasion before I finally read it and at times I regret reading it as you may have regreted reading the fault in our stars because there are too many FEELS! But you must read this it is an extremley good book series that I can't praise enough though it may not be for everyone some people just wont like this series. Anyway hopefully I won't have to read another tragedy for a long time.
